2008

ETONIEN | Project & Interim CFO Services

ETONIEN was founded in 2008 to support the office of the CFO with project and interim CFO, Controller and FP&A services.

ETONIEN supported firms across diverse stages from start-up, middle market, Fortune 100 to large publicly traded companies. Over the next 10 years, ETONIEN carved out a niche for their services within the PE landscape where high-touch service and an ability to deliver results in high-stakes, complex situations and always operating with a sense of urgency proved invaluable.

2019

enhanceHCM | Strategic HR & Payroll

ETONIEN’s experience grew to include work for 150 + PE firms across the country and after 8 years there was a clear need with clients to also support finance operations in human capital management.

ETONIEN developed enhanceHCM as a business unit to address HR, Payroll and HRIS related needs experienced by the same group of middle market PE backed companies through M&A transactions and divestitures and systems implementations.

2019

Crosby Row | Sourcing & Lean Consulting

The market demand for lean-based supply chain consulting services for clients operating in complex business environments was clear.

Seeing that effective (or ineffective) supply chain decisions often have financial implications, and vice versa. ETONIEN’s core service offering rolling up to the CFO had natural synergies with supply chain management and launched Crosby Row as a platform to offer this service to clients.

2024

Pivot > | Turnaround & Restructuring

After 15 years servicing the PE market through M&A and complex special situations, ETONIEN saw a gap in the marketplace for financial crisis management.

ETONIEN collaborated with experts to create Pivot > bringing to market fast access to lean teams supporting the needs of investors and stakeholders through times of distress. Cost effective, agile solutions are uncommon in the restructuring industry making this service offering highly sought after in the marketplace.

Today

ETONIEN | Interim CFO +

In line with its founding mission to support the office of the CFO, after 15 years ETONIEN’s network of consultants (and therefore capabilities) naturally grew to include a deep bench offering expertise across C-Suite roles.

Today, ETONIEN focuses exclusively on servicing PE backed, middle market companies ($100M – $1B) requiring immediate, high-level C-Suite support. In addition, ETONIEN’s family of companies today offer a unique value proposition to PE firms in need of comprehensive, cross-functional and strategic support across various finance functions; including HR / Payroll with enhanceHCM, strategic sourcing with Crosby Row, and turnaround and restructuring advisory with Pivot >.

Karl Pearson

Karl Pearson, Managing Director of the ETONIEN Companies, brings over two decades of financial, accounting, and operational management experience, helping organizations across a variety of sectors improve revenue and margins, reduce operating expenses, raise debt and equity, and lead successful corporate turnarounds. Karl has held various top-level positions, such as CEO, COO, and CFO, as an Operating Partner for Private Equity funds and within their portfolio companies. He has a proven track record for streamlining finance operations, facilitating organizational transformations, and positioning companies for sustained profitability and long-term success in healthy, stressed, and distressed companies.

Chris Tucker

Chris Tucker, President of enhanceHCM, brings over 20 years of experience developing and leading sales organizations in the HCM space. He oversees strategy, revenue, and operations for enhanceHCM. Chris specializes in developing new partnerships, nurturing existing relationships, mentoring teams, and ensuring overall client satisfaction. He is passionate about helping clients achieve success. Before joining enhanceHCM in 2019, Chris held various sales leadership roles at ADP, focusing on Mid-Market and Enterprise markets. His most recent position at ADP was Vice President of Sales in the Global Enterprise Solutions group. This extensive background at ADP has equipped Chris with a deep understanding of client needs, allowing him to effectively tailor solutions that drive operational efficiency and process improvement.

Shane Malenfant

Shane Malenfant is the Practice Leader at Crosby Row, where he leverages his extensive background in supply chain operations, continuous improvement, and financial performance optimization to drive transformative change for private equity clients. With deep expertise in operational excellence and change management, Shane has a proven track record of delivering significant financial impact, including reducing P&L losses by millions and streamlining operational processes.

Prior to joining Crosby Row, Shane held leadership roles at Peloton Interactive and Envista Corporation, where he delivered significant results, such as reducing negative P&L impact by $14.5 million and improving inventory accuracy by 30%. His ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute data-driven strategies ensures that companies achieve sustainable growth and efficiency.

Shane holds a B.S. in Supply Chain Management and Information Systems from Penn State University, where he graduated as a Schreyer Honors Scholar.

Lance Miller

Lance Miller, Founder and Managing Partner of Pivot >, leads the turnaround and restructuring firm alongside Co-Founder and Partner Peter Elkin. With 20 years of experience as a restructuring lawyer and in-house counsel, he offers strategic guidance through Chapter 11 and out-of-court workout situations. Lance has served in various roles including Financial Advisor and Chief Restructuring Officer. Notable engagements include International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Columbia Pulp, and American Apparel. Previously, he was a Partner at Paladin Management Group and held General Counsel positions at Sugarfina, Inc. and American Apparel. Lance’s expertise spans legal practice with firms like Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Jones Day. He’s affiliated with California and New York Bar Associations and serves on the boards of Yogaworks and Agway.
