The Firm’s founding members along with top leadership strive to contribute to the communities we work and live in, whether it be by lending expertise and fundraising efforts through board participation, co-sponsoring events benefiting local charities or participating in activities aimed at giving back. ETONIEN is committed to serving the needs of our communities through the investment of our resources and employee participation. We direct our giving to nonprofit organizations that address vital community needs and issues, focusing on community development, education, arts, environment, youth, seniors and human services. Such organizations include the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, St. Anne’s and the American Red Cross.

Board Positions

Joe Davis joined the Board of Directors of The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in December, 2009 and became actively involved with the Audit and Finance Committees of the Board. In May 2011, Joe was asked to take on the leadership of the Finance Committee and is still serving in that capacity today. The mission of the Food Bank is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in the Los Angeles regional community. The organization fulfills that mission by sourcing and acquiring food and other products and distributing them to needy families through charitable agencies or directly through programs, energizing the community to get involved and support hunger relief and conducting hunger education and awareness campaigns and advocating for public policies that alleviate hunger. The Food Bank distributes approximately one million pounds of food weekly to more than 1000 sites that provide food to those in need throughout greater Los Angeles.

Lawrence Greaves joined the Board of Directors of St. Anne’s in January 2013 and is an active member of the Leadership Committee.  As the only social service agency in Los Angeles that specializes in serving the needs of at-risk pregnant and parenting young women and children, St. Anne’s provides these families with real refuge and a chance for a new life.  Since first opening its doors in 1908, St. Anne’s has been committed to developing and sustaining programs that help families develop the skills necessary to lead healthy, independent and productive lives, as citizens and as parents, breaking the cycle of homelessness, poverty, abuse and neglect for generations to come.  A few of the many services they offer are child care, housing, family therapy and literacy programs.

Chadd Davis joined the Board of Directors of The Los Angeles Chapter of The American Red Cross in 2012 and became involved with the PrepareSoCal campaign (  According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) California is long overdue for the “Big One” — an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 or higher.  The PrepareSoCal campaign aims to make sure all So Cal families are prepared for “The Big One” or any other natural disaster that might head their way.  Their website offers visitors detailed instructions on family survival kits, disaster plans, and info on SoCal specific disaster resources.  With this vital info The American Red Cross and PrepareSoCal hope to create more resilient communities that are better equipped to help each other prevent, prepare for and respond to life-threatening disasters.
